This class will provide specific, practical, and aspirational guidance to the student director regarding how to transform a script into a fully realized short film. The Winter semester of the third year of study is dedicated to shooting the Graduation Project, and the course content is tailored to the current needs of the student cohort.

Essential questions will be posed to the class to help cultivate an active and engaged community of directors who will learn how to develop their specific and unique strengths into a directorial approach that serves the story.

Výsledky učení

By the end of the course students will:

Develop further their skills in presenting their own idea and story to others and how to provide feedback to other presentations in the phase of pre-production.

Be able to demonstrate their ability to handle the directing of a film shoot, manage the film set, and oversee all related activities. They will demonstrate their ability to bring their creative vision to life with the help of the crew.

Hodnoticí metody a kritéria

The minimum required attendance to the class is 50 % +

The assessment is based on the active participation in guided and non-guided discussions in the workshop, meeting the deadlines connected with the project execution and regular consultations with the tutor and the Production Supervisor.
