The goal of the 6th semester of this course is to complete the project for presentation at the final state examination.

This class will provide specific, practical, and aspirational guidance to the student director regarding how to post-produce Graduation Film. Starting from the dramaturgy of offline editing, sound editing and design, music dramaturgy, to VFX, grading and mastering. Active participation by the crew members involved is expected at every stage of this process.

Essential questions will be posed to the class to help cultivate an active and engaged community of directors who will learn how to further develop their specific and unique strengths into a directorial approach that serves the story.

Výsledky učení

By the end of the course students will:

Have their Graduation Project concluded or near completion. In the project they demonstrate mastery not only of creative processes but also of a directorial approach to the entire project, including the post-production phase, during which they are able to coordinate the various collaborating professionals to achieve the desired result on time.

Mastery of or creative participation in all phases of creative post-production—editing, colorgrading, sound design and mixing, distribution package, confirmation of copyright clearance, and promotional materials for the work.

Hodnoticí metody a kritéria

The minimum required attendance to the class is 50 % +, and regular updates for the Tutorial mentor on the progress of the work’s post-production (montage, sound editing and design, VFX etc.)

The assessment is also based on the active participation in guided and non-guided discussions in the workshop, meeting the deadlines connected with the project execution.
