Obsah

Student continues in developing the diploma thesis with assigned Advisor. Within 6th semester of the studies Diploma Thesis should be finished or near completion so student can approach state exam.

During the semester the student will provide regular updates on progress made (as instructed and agreed upon with the course lecturer).

One class session at the end of the semester will be devoted to the defense of the thesis before the instructor and fellow students. The goal is to assess both the content of the thesis and the student’s ability to respond to feedback.

Výsledky učení

By the end of the course students will:

Progress significantly with their Diploma Thesis to a satisfactory stage or reach a level at which the thesis can be submitted for defense

Have a thorough understanding of the thesis and the ability to respond to comments regarding the topic, methodology, research question, or conclusions.

Hodnoticí metody a kritéria

The course is assessed on a pass/fail basis upon

confirming from the Advisor that the student has been consulting with the Advisor on the thesis topic and that they consider the thesis to be near completion or completed

The student must also attend, without exception, a minimum of 60 % of the classes to be credited, and in one class undergo the defense of the diploma thesis to the colleagues and lecturer

Poznámka

During the semester, students must meet in person or on-line to consult with their thesis Advisor at least 5 times; the thesis Advisor must confirm this either to the course lecturer or to a representative of the FAMU International department.
