Obsah
Constructing a sequence for A London Music Scene in Prague with Rebecca Salvadori
This modular, practice-oriented course is conceived as a collaborative production laboratory embedded within the development of the feature-length film A London Music Scene, directed by Rebecca Salvadori and commissioned by PAF Olomouc for the collection of Museion in Bolzano (Italian Council Fund 2025).
The module focuses on the collective development and production of a newly constructed scene to be filmed in Prague in April 2026 as part of the broader film project, which should be completed by December 2026 and subsequently presented in collaboration with international partners including ATONAL (Berlin), PAF Olomouc, Pioneer Works (New York), Museion (Bolzano), Gartenhaus Kunstverein, Hangar (Barcelona), and PLATO (Ostrava).
Working directly with Salvadori’s long-term archival practice documenting London’s underground music scenes (2010–2025), students will engage with questions of archive, reenactment, constructed documentary, and collective authorship. The Prague shoot will serve as both a practical production exercise and a critical reflection on how a local context can enter into dialogue with a film rooted in a specific music ecology.
The module combines:
•Concept development and scene construction
•Research into London’s underground music scene and its socio-political context
•Collaborative pre-production and production work
•Practical filming during an intensive shooting week
•Collective reflection and presentation of outcomes
Students will work closely with the director and tutors across conceptual, technical, and organizational aspects of the shoot. The course emphasizes filmmaking as a relational and collaborative process, foregrounding responsibility, sensitivity to context, and critical engagement with moving image practice.
