Contents

The seminar is aimed at teaching the student how to conceptually develop the theatre performance and to describe it in the form of a director’s copy. Final semester work is oral and written formulation of the staging concept, its presentation and defence.

The aim of the course is to develop various narrative procedures that represent ideas proposed by students in the form of communication. The course also includes work from the idea itself to its implementation, as well as the relationship between the chosen narrative strategy and the content of the literary work.

The course combines individual and group work by the student, which requires the confrontation of the ideas of individual course students. The main aim is to develop the dramaturgical skills necessary for the creation of an original work and adaptation and to prepare the basic principles for a graduation performance.

Exercises on content modelling through different narrative strategies

Exercises on plot creation using different means of expression and annotation methods

Learning outcomes

In the area of knowledge students:

analyse and distinguish specific dramaturgical elements of a script;

define the functions of specific script elements, indicates the characteristic features of various dramaturgical strategies.

In the area of skills students:

classify elements necessary to write a specific script, creatively organize the dramaturgical structure by arranging the elements in a certain order;

have the skills necessary to prove the correctness of the specified theses, discuss and criticize the consequences of the tasks performed in the group.

In the area of social competences students:

can effectively use imagination, intuition, emotions, creative thinking and work to solve problems, have the skills of flexible thinking, adaptation to new and changing circumstances.
