The preliminary outline of the thesis will be transformed into a fixed structure, according to which students will continue writing the chapters in the agreed-upon order. The bibliography is established. The method is clear.

The focus of students works lies in self-study and consulting with their Advisor regarding their progress in the chapters written.

In one selected class, each student will present their thesis (currently a work in progress) to their classmates.

The approximate half of the written thesis must be submitted to the course lecturer to pass the course.

Learning outcomes

Students will make significant progress in writing their thesis under the guidance of their thesis Advisor and with the course lecturer monitoring their progress.

From the previous semester: Decision on thesis topic, preliminary outline, preliminary consultations, preliminary bibliography, Diploma Thesis adviser assigned

Literature

Individual, according to thesis topic.

Evaluation methods and criteria

Student should have a minimum of 50% attendance at the seminars to be credited for the course.

The course is assessed on a pass/fail basis upon submission of half of the Diploma Thesis as consulted with the Diploma Thesis Advisor.

Note

During the semester, students must meet in person or on-line to consult with their thesis Advisor at least 5 times; the thesis Advisor must confirm this either to the course lecturer or to a representative of the FAMU International department.
