This course builds on the introductory course by further developing Czech language skills and deepening students’ understanding of Czech culture and contemporary life. The course expands communicative competence in more complex everyday situations while exploring social practices, cultural expressions and current issues in the Czech Republic. Emphasis is placed on practical usage, cultural awareness and intercultural communication.

Learning outcomes

By the end of the course, students will be able to communicate in Czech in a wider range of everyday situations using more developed vocabulary and structures.

They will demonstrate a deeper understanding of Czech culture, society and contemporary issues.

They will apply language and cultural knowledge confidently in practical and intercultural contexts.
