The seminar follows up directly on the seminar Contemporary Theatre in the West 1, continuing to familiarize students with the most important contemporary Euro-American theatrical tendencies. Besides direct individual experience with foreign theatre, it uses video recordings, foreign language dramatic texts and, of course, texts existing in Czech translation.

The course's goal is to continue with reflection on dramatic and theatrical creation in selected language areas (French in this case) and to try to understand it in a broader historical context.
