Information on the combined form:

The course is taught in a combined form of contact and non-contact teaching in a ratio of about 1:3, i.e. 72 hours of distance learning,

28 hours of face-to-face contact per semester.

The summer semester includes intensive concentrated block teaching of the main subjects.

The course includes the practice of classical dance technique and is connected in its practical feature with the teaching of Introduction to Dance Pedagogy. It is primarily a practically guided class, focusing on the training regimen of a professional sequence of exercises. The teaching is about understanding the composition of the exercises, working out the links and principles of correct assignment and explaining the elements.

The goal of the study is systematic exercise leading to increased fitness - physical and cognitive.

  3. balance, coordination, strength
  4. motor memory and development of motor intelligence
  5. practical training and use of musical accompaniment (including recordings)

Learning outcomes

The aim of the study is systematic exercise leading to an increase in fitness - physical and cognitive.

Learning outcomes: detailed knowledge of classical dance technique, i.e. a movement „vocabulary“ of 600 pas and tempos, all positions, poses and placements of the feet, legs, arms, wrists, torso (hips, waist, shoulders, shoulder blades) and head. Advanced coordination and conditioning execution of all classical exercises.

Evaluation methods and criteria

For the exam in the second semester, the student will demonstrate his/her mastery and understanding of the basic principles of classical dance in a training regimen and workload. The student will defend a written year-long paper of 5-8 pages.

Note

The teaching combines monological, applied, and interactive teaching methods, and encourages self-study in non-contact learning and critical thinking of the student. The student is encouraged to create his/her own portfolio based on the acquisition of his/her own experience and skills.

Independent work of the student within the framework of contactless learning:

Ongoing discussions over recordings of teaching and training sessions or based on site visits to selected arts schools. Work conceived in this way enables the understanding and application in practice of the full range of elements, connections, combinations in the KT technique, developing creativity and the ability of pedagogical perception.

Active participation and references from designated workshops and seminars organized not only by the Department of Dance.

  1. understanding the system of stereotyped repetition - exercices à la barre e a au millieu
  2. the issue of building mental concentration and acceptance of exercises and elements
  3. the training of a detailed and effective explication of each element and how to avoid mistakes in its execution

According to the thematic headings, the student will produce a written analysis and reflection on the topic.

The student presents an example of a practical application to the given headings.

The student will present a list of the literature studied for each topic.

Provide evidence of at least three teaching hospitalizations in selected educational institutions.

Observes and creates a record of practical outcomes in a school or arts professional setting, both in written and visual form.
