The course is taught in a combined form of contact and non-contact teaching in a ratio of about 1:3, i.e. 72 hours of distance learning,
28 hours of face-to-face contact per semester.
The summer semester includes intensive concentrated block teaching of the main subjects.
The content of the Didactics and Methodology of TaV 2 consists of a theoretical part, focused on the methodology and didactics of dance education, and the practical application of knowledge acquired during the study. Emphasis is placed on the construction of a dance lesson for different age categories, taking into account individual specific differences in the period of childhood and adolescence. The main theme that runs through the entire teaching is creativity and the conscious development of the emotional, psychological and physical aspects of the child's personality.
The subject is closely related to the content of the courses Pedagogical Seminar Dance Education and Dance Education of Children.
The aim of the course is to develop the independent and creative pedagogical work of the dance education teacher, his/her expertise in working with the child, taking into account the characteristics of the individual's period of development and with an emphasis on supporting his/her natural expression.

Learning outcomes
The student will become familiar with the sub-principles, laws and principles of dance movement classes. The student will learn specific movement principles and themes that fundamentally influence and shape movement in the child.
The student will be able to apply the information learned in an appropriate and creative manner to his/her own practice.

Evaluation methods and criteria
By the examination the student will demonstrate practical skills and theoretical knowledge of the thematic areas of didactics and methodology of Dance Education of the 2nd year. The exam includes a practical pedagogical output on the assigned topic and its written elaboration, having a scope of 5 - 6 pages. It includes a discussion of the subject topics that arose from the participation in the visited national show.
Other requirements: 100% attendance, activity in class.
Note
Teaching combines monological, applied, interactive teaching methods, encourages self-study within the framework of non-contact learning and student's critical thinking. The student is encouraged to create his/her own portfolio based on the acquisition of his/her own experience and skills.
Distance contact will be provided:
- phone, email, video calls
- through group platforms for communication between students (social networks, internet, apps,
moodle, etc.)
The student's independent work within the contactless learning consists of:
- active participation in a selected national showcase and its written reflection
- searching and sorting information from the available literature related to the chosen topic of the student's seminar work
- practical verification of the topics discussed in their teaching practice and subsequent consultation with the teacher of the subject
- searching for sources of inspiration in the field of movement and music and recording them in their portfolio
- studying the assigned literature on the given topics, which are the content of the exam in the second semester
