The course is taught in a combined form of contact and non-contact teaching in a ratio of about 1:8, i.e. 14 hours in full-time and 86 hours at a distance.
The summer semester includes a concentrated block teaching of the main subjects.
Pedagogical Proseminar 2 aims at a deeper understanding and mastery of working with music. The teaching emphasizes the practical acquisition of music and movement principles and the expansion of music and movement skills that foster a deeper connection between dance and music.
The course is integrated with the History and Theory of Music and Fundamentals of Movement.
Thematic areas
Musical accompaniment - needs, differences, specifics for each dance technique (KT, LT, MTST, TaV)
Suitability of the musical subject - aesthetic and educational aspects, genre specifics
Creative assignments and movement music games for different age groups of children - use of basic rhythmic instruments in teaching, development of musicality and dance expression, involvement of the voice
The aim of the course is the understanding and practical mastery of musical and movement concepts and principles necessary for teaching dance. Students are given the tools to develop rhythm, musicality, and musical taste.
Learning outcomes
In the second semester, students will learn different approaches and needs for using music in different techniques and choreography.

Evaluation methods and criteria
Credit is awarded based on:
a) 80% participation in classes
b) written evaluation of the pedagogy proseminar classes
c) during the semester, independent readings and participation in discussions in class are required which are requirements for sitting the exam.
Note
The teaching combines monological, applied and interactive teaching methods, and encourages self-study and critical thinking.
Distance contact will be provided:
- telephone, email, video calls
- through group platforms for communication between students (social networks, internet, apps, moodle, etc.)
Independent work of the student within the contactless learning consists of:
- the completion of three additional observations in the second semester completed in the main course, the preparation of an oral reflection focusing on the musical-motor relationships and the teacher's approach to the musical component of the class
- studying the assigned literature on the topics covered in the second semester examination
- creating a list of musical material to be looked up and matching it to the appropriate age group
- creating a video recording of the lesson showing the processing of the music and movement assignment
The student presents a list of researched musical material and a video recording of the lesson that captures the processing of the music and movement assignment.
