Information on the combined form:

The course is taught in a combined form of contact and non-contact teaching in a ratio of approximately 1:4, i.e. 40 hours distance learning, 10 hours full-time per semester.

The pedagogical seminar of cassical dance 3 further develops the independent pedagogical practice from the previous year so that students combine the knowledge gained from the classical dance methodology classes and this seminar. Joint meetings and confrontations allow students to grasp and process the assigned topic from different perspectives and experiences, expanding the art of communication based on practical teaching. The discussion leads to an in-depth analysis of the prepared lesson and an evaluation of its effectiveness.

The course is completely related to the substance of the classical dance methodology of the 2nd and 3rd year, where the student gradually elaborates the discussed substance into teaching combinations and subsequent enchaînements.

Examples of topics:

  1. Lesson organisation in relation to the objectives of the educational institution
  2. The issue of self-management and discipline
  3. Development and use of mental fitness and experience in stressful situations

Meeting and observing various pedagogical personalities, both domestic and foreign, is essential for improving professional pedagogical thinking and action. Workshops organized by the department are an integral part of the study.

Learning outcomes

The aim of the lessons is to further develop attention to verbal expression, the ability to work with music and accompanist, demonstration and professional correction. Qualitatively, creativity and pedagogical perception are further developed through teaching examples.

Note

The course combines monological, applied and interactive teaching methods, and encourages self-study in non-contact teaching and critical thinking. The student is encouraged to create his/her own portfolio based on the acquisition of his/her own experiences and skills.

Distance contact will be provided:

phone, email, video calls

through group platforms for communication between students (social networks, internet, apps, moodle, etc.

Independent work of the student in the context of non-contact learning:

Own pedagogical practice

Each student will present his/her pedagogical practice twice a semester, which will be filmed on camera and sent with appropriate comments to his/her teacher, who will study it and give feedback to the student preferably in the context of contact teaching. Of course, a written form of feedback or Skype can also be used. If the student does not have his/her own teaching practice, he/she must organise his/her own teaching on the assigned topic so that he/she can record his/her pedagogical output.

Literature study

The study of selected literature is one of the basic tasks of self-study, students will be assigned specific topics to study based on various sources. In contact teaching, students will analyse, compare and apply the knowledge acquired in class, subjecting it to their own critical thinking.

Examples of topics:

  1. System of recording, notes and comments on exercises
  2. Teaching spaces - conditions to ensure the conditions and atmosphere for teaching
  3. The issue of continuing education for teachers, demonstrating the development of teaching competencies, coherence, theory, practice and experience

Internet resources

Internet resources, especially YouTube, will be used for further information gathering, where students will again search for appropriate links (at least four per topic) to the topics in question, which they will pass on to each other and apply the information and knowledge gained in contact practical teaching.
