Dok.incubator is hosting an online seminar for film students, providing an introduction to the current documentary film industry. The dok.incubator rough cut workshops support filmmakers in the final stages of post production, offering guidance from experienced editors, producers, and marketing experts. The focus is on strengthening storytelling, developing marketing and distribution strategies, and connecting participants with key industry professionals, including festival curators and sales agents.

The seminar begins on February 28th at 3 PM and will cover industry trends and the key factors that festival curators and sales agents consider when selecting films. Through case studies, it will examine the successes and challenges of past workshop films, providing insights into what contributes to a film’s impact and reception.

A follow-up session on March 21st at 3 PM will offer a hands-on experience, participants will take on the role of project selectors, reviewing four documentary submissions, including rough cuts, synopses, and budgets. They will analyze the materials, provide feedback, and discuss their selections in the second session

To attend the second seminar, you must first participate in the first one,
