Obsah

The course is a review of all the most important drama techniques – their sources and transformations. The theoretical thought which accompanies the art of drama. The aim is to get the students acquainted with the texts used in puppet theatre in relation to the general knowledge of the structure of drama. The archetypes (Faustus, Don Juan) and the

metaphor (modernistic pieces). Adaptations of fairy tales and other epic pieces for children. Methods of drama analysis. Adaptation techniques. The aim of the course is to convey knowledge about the nature of puppet theatre repertoire, as well as to equip students with the skills of making a choice and develop the text for the purpose of own production.

The aim of the course is to work out diverse narrative strategies, which represent ideas proposed by students in a communicative way. The course should include work from the sole idea to its realization as well as relation between a chosen narrative strategy and the content of the literary material. The course combines students’ individual work with

teamwork, which demand direct confrontation of ideas among participants of the course. The main aim is to work out the dramaturgical skills needed for the creation of original works and adaptations.
