Presentation and subsequent screening of Taya Zubova's documentary film „Territory without War“ with the personal participation of the director and sound master Ivo Heger. The film is interesting for its less usual view of the ongoing Ukrainian conflict through the testimonies of Russian, Belarusian and Ukrainian citizens who found refuge in Montenegro.

In particular, the audio component, its development and implementation, as well as the impact of budgetary constraints, will be the subject of analysis and subsequent discussion. A separate chapter will also address the issue of transferring the originally intended „small“ format to the big screen. Judge for yourself!

At the same time, the participants will have the opportunity to confront their findings and ask questions, especially concerning the life of war refugees from Russian-invaded Ukraine.

Learning outcomes

The aim is to give students a concentrated summary of practical experience with the conception and realization of the sound component of a documentary film.
